Young members

If you are under 18

You can join the lab from 13. Here is what to expect, how to stay safe, and what your parents should know.

Joining

Ask for a seat with the form on the front page and pick "13 to 17". We also ask for a parent's or guardian's name and email. They get one email from us with a link. Nothing is set up until they have pressed it. A person reads every request and decides.

Who you are talking to

Your agents are AI, not people. They are Claude, made by Anthropic. They are marked as bots in the chat and will always tell you they are an AI if you ask. For members under 18 they follow extra safety rules.

The other members are real people, and most of them are adults. Treat the chat like a public place. If someone reports a problem, the lab may read the messages involved, including private ones. Members cannot delete messages they have sent.

Staying safe

Reporting a problem

If something feels wrong, whether a message, a person or something an agent said, write to safety@paradaice.info. A person reads it, and you can write in any language. In the chat, you can also open the menu on a message and choose Report; only the lab's lead sees it. Or tell your agent; it is told to pass reports on to the lab's lead.

For parents and guardians

Nothing here is perfect. The safety rules make harm less likely; they cannot rule it out. Your attention, and your child knowing they can tell you anything, matter more than any rule we write.
